Congratulations Indeed! So glad you stayed with the D3 W12 and the best of the best with polished wheels! Thanks for sharing the pics. It looks like it will be a fine ride for years to come. mj

Another couple of pics from your prior request that I took quickly when I had a decent rear view. Suspension was in Dynamic. Shows how dialed in it is w/ the 275 stock tires and wheels.

Thanks again MP, that is a perfect look in my opinion. I guess the H&R don't have kits with appropriate length lug bolts. What length lug bolts are you using for the front & rears? The ECS kits have them paired so I just might go with those.

No worries. Stock D3 bolt has a 27mm depth, at least for the lock kit Audi sold--measured only on the threaded/straight portion not including the ball washer or head. Using that as a guideline, you just add spacer depth. For the 12 mm front spacers, you thus get a target length of 39mm. I checked mine and they are actually 40mm. For the 20mm rear spacers, target would be 47mm; mine measure at 45mm. I think they come in 5mm steps, so some rounding is involved. I remember both the 12 and 15mm spacers run the same bolt length of 40mm, another rounding cue. I got mine from Achtuning (connected w/ Hartmann Wheels IIRC) and let them make the calc. in parallel.

H&R technical specs/guidelines are here as an FYI: http://www.h-r.com/bin/infos/EBH-DR.pdf They say at least 11mm/7.5 turns of threaded purchase w/ 14x1.5. As a practical matter, the silver metal color bolt tips of both front and rear show long term brake dust tarnishing on my set up over several threads, an easy visual confirmation they are all the way through the hub but also clearing fine.

In my past life when working for a Jaguar dealership, I saw a few hand controlled XJ6's. They were quite the contraption but work quite well.

The performance rims are what sold me on my '10, can't beat the look! The only thing I would change are the exhaust tips for the diffusers on your w12. What a beauty!
