Solar roof actually operates the dash vents while parked, car off, circulating air thru the cabin...you can hear the fan speed up and slow down according to the suns intensity. It works fine, but remember, it's outside air circulating whatever that temp is.

Oh ok. I never heard too many good things about the solar sunroof which is why I asked. My old 04-05 had the heated steering wheel and it turns on with the heated seats. My 06 doesn't have the switch in the back so I don't have it which I'm fine with that. Do you drive yours all year round??

Brought my A8 regular length out of San Diego with 95K on it, from original owner. Now at 115K. Brought studded snow tires and new 18" wheels for winter. I live in Utah mountains. Had minor head gasket leak but was able to stop it with head gasket leak seal. This is 5th Audi and love car.
Message seats are a must now that I have lived with them. I see you have paddle shifters! I don't have them or solar sunroof. Had solar sunroof on other Audi but I prefer to be able to see out.

Yea mine was special ordered at the time too. Yea I'm not a big fan of solar sunroof either. To me its overrrated.

Did the previous owner replace the timing belt? Wow you had a head gasket go bad? Very very rare to go bad on a 4.2. Yea I like the paddle shifters but I don't really need it. Heck we can trade if you have the heated steering wheel which is what i would preferably have lol. Im cool with using the conventional tiptronic if I want to have some fun occasionally.
