Default If you don't have kids or planning to have any... beautiful interior

The car is like new.
I and my wife had passed a really great deal this weekend because of the <a href="http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?endYear=2015&zip=94555&listin gType=used&listingTypes=used&showcaseListingId=396 863097&mmt=%5BAUDI%5BA8%5BA8%257CL%2BTDI%5D%5D%5B% 5D%5D&modelCode1=A8&makeCode2=AUDI&modelCode2=A8&s ortBy=derivedpriceASC&showcaseOwnerId=83956&makeCo de1=AUDI&startYear=2014&searchRadius=500&listingId =387916011&Log=0">beautiful Silk beige interior</a>. My wife doesn't want to hear me complain about the kids kicking the back seats and spilling cherry ices or frappe. I think that's why the car price is so low for a TDI.

Cheers,

Louis

That interior looks like new!!! I'd check the service records, but if it meets your needs I'd buy it. That is one beautiful car!!

Default A few reminders before taking delivery

-Make sure the bluetooth pairs with your phone.
-Check the voice commands.
-Don't buy and and come back here to ask where's my bluetooth module or the voice doesn't work.

Cheers,

Louis

04s don't have Bluetooth or voice commands unless retrofitted. They came with now useless OnStar instead.

Default Well, in 204 people who had $80k to buy this car didn't have

a choice because Audi didn't make them. But now, people with $13k would have many choices, don't they?

Cheers,

Louis

My '04, that I have had for over nine years now has 239,000 miles on it. I've put over 183,000 of those miles on it myself. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I have pushed the vehicle to its' drag limit as well. Save big and get an '04.

Now, if you want factory bluetooth, headlights that move as you corner, a trunk lid that fully opens and closes at the push of a button (not available on early '04's); well maybe an '04 isn't the car for you.

Default too broad a statement ! Here's my experience...

Bought a 2004 with 60K non-pampered miles on the OD; at 100K all I had done in the way of repairs was a fuel pump amd a wheel bearing. 160K now and I have done the front struts, and thats something NO A8 owner is going o escape if you keep the car long enough. And I did valve cover gaskets...again an inevitability. And I had to upgrade my trunk motor to a 2008 unit, as will anyone who wants good cold weather performance. And I have a heat issue as do a number of other members with various year A8s. Thats a reliability history I will put up against any other year.

So categorically saying buying saying dont buy a 2004 is not sound logic. And as you can see by my signature, many features not available till later years can be retro-fitted to a humble 2004 A8.

Have you seen this 2005, about 50 miles away from the other one? 2005 Audi A8 L 4.2 quattro, $12,311 - Cars.com
Just curious if you all wouldn't mind giving some more opinion on the A8 Jack88 found. I am possibly having it inspected at Audi tomorrow and putting at down payment on it if everything checks out.

AsJoliet Jake Blues once said: "Fix the cigarette lighter".

Other than some photos that are blurred (accidental or on purpose?), It looks good. Looks like the timing belt recommended maintenance interval will be soon so keep in mind that work and parts cost if you do it yourself or the additional funds to pay someone else to do it.

I think the blurry photos are from taking the one photo of those parts farther away and zooming in with the computer. Probably wanted more photos on the ad than he had taken and was too lazy to take more.
