2003 A8L purchase
Hey all,
In two days, I am looking at a 2003 A8L with 154k on it. This is my first potential foray into Audi territory, but am very excited at the prospect of owning one. What sort of things should I be on the lookout for? Any particular problems this model has had that I should be concerned with? See a snip of the ad below:
Has had major work done including rack, front suspension, very recent front brakes and flex pipe. Timing belt done once so wont need for another 30k or so. Really don't think it needs much at all except for one tire getting a tad thin on the edges. Have receipts back 8 years as well- thousands spent by prior owner / Physician. Everything but power headrests works.
Is the failure of the headrest function a common thing? Is it something easily fixed? I would like any of your unvarnished opinions about this Audi please!

Get it checked properly, Dognmonkey has a comprehensive guide on what to check on a a8

Keep in mind to test every button you can test, also when driving it, be sure to test for gear slipping, with those milage its a ticking time bomb if the gearbox fluid has never been changed.
Air conditioner, test all zones, the trunk see if it lifts up, properly, open the compartments in the trunk of the sides, see if any water is leaking by any chance.
