oil change on an S8 and resetting the oil life

Soon I'll have to perform an oil change on my 2007 S8 and I do not have the VCDS tool.Is it possible to reset the oil life without it?
I do have an OBD2 reader, a decent one actually.

John, just track down your local VCDS guy and ask them to reset the time and distance to next service + oil change.
