So I have this weird oil residue that almost looks like some kind of oil blew out of the front left hand vent just above the fog light on my D3. I can't seem to find any place it could have come from, and it's weird that it would be coming from inside the car the way is sprayed out from the vent on the front of the car. Any ideas if something could be leaking up there under pressure? Is there a transmission cooler that could have blown or Power steering?

I should be able to get pics later.

I can't think of anything in that area that would do that. Anything on the ground?

Doesn't look like anything leaking on the ground, but I really need to get it up on ramps and look closer, just curious if anyone knew.

Likewise, I couldn't figure out either and passed before. Starts with "which side is "left." Left as you look at it from in front of hood, or left as you sit in driver's seat (latter is common for car descriptions--"left side")?

But rather than go down mouse hole further, post pics and yes, investigate further. Have ideas maybe on either side, but don't want to guess where and what w/ out better starting point.
