Just had a wonderful experience. Had component protection taken off or adapted on my new cd stacker mp3 player. Should have given up on it after the local audi stealer could not do it and I was $200 poorer.
any way he has a legit geko account and very computer savy.
Downloaded teamviewer remote access and then some smaller programs for remote things (don't use your computer with all your personal goodies use your dedicated for car laptop)
Took him longer to download everything (my slow internet) for programing than to do the cp.
He does not charge upfront only after he does the coding.

Got on to him through a mechanical forum.
So if you want to try that thing that needs online coding I would recommend him highly.

Hi Storka. I have a problem with my Audi A4 b8 2010 model. The ignition is not coming on, the dashboard is just dead. The steering is not locking. What could be the problem please help. There is no communication with the car. Only lights, radio and electric Windows are working.

Also have you checked all fuses.
If you want online diagnosis you will need a clone full chip vas 5054a tool.
As you are in the uk you have independent Audi dealers everywhere.

I just put people in contact with a Audi mech who does online coding etc.
Mainly for people like myself who do not have a lot of chose with Audi dealers.
I have one here not spectacular then next 4 her drive north or 12 hrs south.
