Default P2190 and P2188 and P1083 and P1087

Hi guys,

I know I did not post for a while. I am looking for some more guidance on how to deal with those codes.

I cleaned MAF's and made sure air filters are clean. Car runs just fine, had about two hiccups when cold and that was it.

I did reset the codes but they are still coming back, should I get new MAF's and O2 sensors and change it ?

@NotoriousGLU:
Were you able to resolve your P2188 code? I am still getting this 1 code randomly without any symptoms now. I use to get a lot of different codes related to "System too rich", but now I am only getting this 1 code P2188 returning randomly. My issue was resolve by replacing a the main culprit of the leaking fuel injector seal. I did replaced the o-ring on the HPFP, along with manually cleaning the intake valve.

Car: 2010 A4 with 130K miles.

Previous Symptoms:
1. gas mileage getting worst and worst.
2. idle rough sometime on cold start and sometime at temperature while stopping.
3. losing of horse power
4. sometime hesitate while accelerating, rpm first drop down when the gas pedal is push down, before jumping back up
5. sound like the engine was choking sometime
6. smell like gas not burning
7. misfire codes
8. o2 sensor codes
9. hard to start when engine is at temperature
10. smell gas in the oil and that's when the intake manifold was remove to find the leaking fuel filter seal.

All my reading up to this point is pointing to a failing HPFP. But until i am able to confirm it will resolve the issue, I would like to keep $300 for the HPFP in my pocket.

Rear main seal was replaced due to a fail Pressure Control Value (PCV) about 20K miles ago.

Update: My issues appear to have be resolved now. 2010 A4 B8 with 133K Miles, symptoms: P2188 code, cold start issue, warm start issue.

Replaced Camshaft and Crankshaft sensors and driven car for about 4 days now, putting on 300 miles and issue did not return. Resolve the following problems: Code P2188 system too rich at idle is not returning. On cold start, it does not sound like the car is gasping for air now. Also no issue starting when engine is up to temperature. Previously it was hard to start when engine is at temp and I have to make multiple engine on/off throughout the day.

Actually, my issue was not resolve previously. No symptoms since the weather was getting colder. My issues would show up when the weather get warmer.

I replaced the HPFP which appear to have resolve my issue now. So far no issue with the 80 degree the pass couple of days in Michigan this week. Last year, I replaced only the seal for the HPFP which did not help.

Slonela, sorry for late response. Yes it was HPFP. It seems like they are not made to last...
