Default Not sure on mine.

Either mine loses sync or just likes cold weather. Has been working fine since the cold front rolled in.
Opened it five times today and it pulled down every time.

Default trunk lid alignment

Hi everybody
I have a "problem" about the alignment of the trunk lid near the rear-window :
- in the right side (corner) the trunk lid is lower than the lateral side of the car
- in the left side (corner) the trunk lid is at the same level with the lateral side of the car (ok)
I taken a pictures to be more clear
At the bottom of the car, the trunk lid alignment is perfect. Only near the rear window is not ok.
Does anybody have any ideea how can I fix this problem ?
Thanks in advance
best regards to all the "masters of the rings" (oooo)

Default Hinges most likely.

The hinges are flimsy. You can straighten them out. Open the trunk and look at the hinges. See if any bent sections show up.
Look at the positioning of both sides. Since the passenger side is off, adjust to match the other. The close and see if it is better.

That's normal and they all do that because that's where the force from the trunk motor acts. You could try meddling with the hinges to align it better but it'll just go back over time.

Auto trunk system is probably the most common problem area on the D3. It's very poorly designed.

Default trunk lid alignment

Hi everybody and thanks for the answers
About the hinges : on the right side, the down edge (near the rear window) (where is the adjusting screw) is lower than the left side
I do not know if it's possible to bend (towards the top) this side of the hinge
I will try but I'm afraid to spoil anything
Nice week-end

Can you release bolts holding the right hinge and move it up to match the left one?

I had the issue where it would close but the latch would never actuate. Would work when the temps heated up, but whenever it got cold it wouldn't ever want to work. I tried lubrication spray, adjustments, etc. Nothing worked. Replaced the latch mechanism that is on the trunk itself with a new, revised version and it has been working perfectly ever since.

Default trunk lid alignment

@ Mishar
thanks for suggestion
If I will unscrew all the bolts, can I move-up (a little bit) the hinge ? ... only a few milimeters ....
Two bolts are keeping the motor-trunk-lid and another two or the are keepin' the hinge
But the holes are seems to be "fixed" on the body-car ....

I think a auto body person could look over the hinges and align. Most of us are just guessing.
This is the first picture that was good enough to help visualize forme. The other were too blurry and hard to see.

What is really your problem, it is only an alignment or the trunk is not closing (opening) properly ?
