Default rubber floor mat sliding.

I just experienced a stuck gas pedal due to the floor mat sliding up near the pedal. The round rubber gromets don't seem to keep the rubber floor mats securely in place. Any suggestions? Are they suppose to fit snuggly into the holders? I might have to make something so they can't rise out of their holes.

Update: This is probably common knowledge, but if you press down hard, the floor mats click into place. Hope this helps any other new owners. Obviously this could be a very serious problem when installed incorrectly.

Default They snap in to place

Presuming you have OEM mats, they take quite a bit of pressure, but they click in and are then solid.

I have the OEM mats and the driver's side left bottom latch comes loose every drive, it doesn't seem to be a very solid click, maybe the latch is in need of cleaning.

Default

both of mine were coming off, and i had 2 stuck accelerator situations before i understood what was happening. i got new mats and that seemed to help somewhat. i think the posts are worn beyond what is needed to safely secure the mats.
