Seriously... Valve cover bolts on 4.2 D3

Can someone recommend what type of 'gasket maker' to use in order to hold the new rubber gaskets in place?
I searched, but no luck and the auto store has many different types.

I and my brother, the Porsche mechanic, use Permatex Hylomar - it's non-hardening - to hold gaskets on for assembly, but it's not a gasket-maker. In this case that's not what you want, unless specified. I'd try to re-torque the bolts after a couple days' use.

I just used the smallest bottle of non toxic tacky stuff from the auto store. Worked well in conjunction with the valve cover bolts in place. The rubber gaskets loop around the bolts snugly. Swipe on. Let tack for a bit ang go.

So..i did the driver side gasket Saturday and it took a long time. Problem now, i have a leak and it appears to be coming from under the 2nd bolt from the rear (firewall). It's very difficult to get a T30 on it straight and the threads are about stripped.
Does anyone have a tip on how to get a good torx on this bolt? It's the second bolt from the rear on the driver's side. Here it is circled.

Bummer. Mine just fit enough for me to press down as hard as I could when I turned it. I did break 2 of my 3 t30 bits removing the timing chain tensioner though, so it could have been slightly longer or shorter of a bit. That one would suck to strip.

About stripped isn't good. Time to invest in a heli-coil kit, do whatever it takes to gain proper access to the bolt hole and fix it right. Fix it once, fix it right and you won't have to revisit it again and again.

Rear bolts. Are you all just cutting through the heat shield? Even then, what combo of t30 and extension are you using?
I can barely get to the second from rear on both sides, so wonder how to turn a wrench once in the screw in order to not strip it.
2005 A8L 4.2 with 135k and drippy gaskets.
Thanks!

Hey...I have T30 Pivot torx (as pictured) available that work miracles to get the rear bolts out. Let me know if anyone needs one.
