retreat when you unlock the car? Is this a vag-com setting? Am I pushing the wrong button on the the wheel of the seat. Something broke?

I think the easy exit and entry only works when you open the door to get out and returns to the set position when restarting the car. The button for it is on the steering column next the adjustment ****, or at least it is on earlier D3's.

The button on the column does operate the steering wheel, I can hear a motor running for a few seconds when I enter the car which sounds like the easy enter in other cars I have owned. Anybody have any thought?

On my 2004 D3 only the steering wheel moves, not the seat and the wheel only moves up not away towards the dashboard.

I believe the key fob is tied to memory setting 1. So when you unlock the car it will move to whatever position memory 1 is set to.
