Default soaked headliner

so this is the first rain I have had with my D3.

after many car washes, never had an issue, but after the rain, I just noticed that in the drivers rear of the cabin headliner, my alcantara leather is soaked!

is it possible that like my D2, under the dash/center console, that there are some some small rubber tubes that may be clogged, not letting all the water drain?

not sure if the drains are running down the back windows panels or not.

as I am on a plane, I will post a picture later.

Default Search; the usual--clogged sunroof drains

Check sunroof drains front and rear. Search or just scroll down a while. Was just posted on again in recent weeks, and periodically in the past.

Known issue. Complete with an Audi (and VW too) page insert added to the maintenance schedule making sunroof drain cleaning part of the routine maintenance schedule.

If you bought your car from an Audi dealer new or used, you should receive it. If you bought used from elsewhere, register it by calling any dealer's service department and give them your VIN and address. Can probably do it online as well in this day & age.

Flawed Greatness, IMO.

Follow up questions for the OP (or anyone who has survived this):

1. Once the drains are cleared, how much will it cost to replace an alcantara headliner?

2. Also, has anyone priced replacing a standard headliner with an alcantara package? I assume this would include the headliner, rear shelf and pillars. Anything else?

I ask because I am shopping D3 models and the alcantara package seems to be hard to find. Appreciate any tips...

The Alcantara is surprisingly durable and should dry it out just fine.
