strange noise
Hello everybody,
I bought a 2007 S8 with 72000 miles, first thing I did was the full service at an Audi independent shop, all fluids were changed even the trani oil and filter, and the differential oil.
I have this weird noise when driving on highway between 50-70 mph sort of grinding. I replaced the front wheel bearings and its the same.
Do I need to add any additive to the deff. when changing the oil?
Another thing is when going over a speed bumps in a low speed I feel the front left side is moving off the frame ?? is their a common bolt to retight to the frame or something?
"All front control arm bushings were replaced "
Any help will be appreciated

To do an alignment on thee cars, the (sub)frame bolts have to be loosened in the rare case that the camber needs centering. I hope they tightened them.
Grinding noise? First thing that comes to mind is UAE=sand.
Haha, sorry I cannot be of any REAL help on that.
It sure is a nice car!

Well, there's my typical American (USA) lack of world knowledge showing! How embarrassing; I thought Saudi Arabia was part of UAE. And most of my friends think I am some sort of genius because I can fix anything, speak succinctly and correctly (rare in the Southern US), oh and yes, there's the fact that I had a genius level IQ at one time and I may have mentioned it to them. I think it's because I read the entire Encyclopedia Britannica (not the little red kids' edition; the full leather-bound adult set), mostly while on the toilet when I was a kid. I was both a slow pooper and a fast reader. Must've missed the "S" section. Also
How much is gas over there? (I know I could google it but hey, just makin' conversation here)
The real reason I wanted to reply, though, is to ask what color the car is? It looks like Aubergine on this horrid 20-year-old laptop. (my good computer is broken right now).

No worries, When I was in the US back in 90's people think we ride Camels for transportation
I used to make fun of it and say yah we have traffic lights for Camels and we can add in aircon. as an options hahahahaha. and some do believe it.
Gas prices are 1.62 per US gallon for 95 octane.
Your computer is still working fine the color is Aubergine.
Cheers,
