strange sat nav issue, any help appreciated
Hi, ive just experienced weird issue with sat nav in my 2004 a8. sat nav was working fine and was updated with new maps. after period maybe 3 - 4 weeks i wanted to use it and navi button appears to be dead, no light, no sat nav screen on mmi. Checked with vcds and navigation ecu is accessible, no errors stored, also most ring test shows that all components (including navigation) are ok. Tried to search forums and googling for similar issue couple of days but wound nothing related. I kinda doubt that button would totally die if not used for few weeks so if anyone have any suggestions where to look for the problem i would really appreciate any help and advice. Thanks

Update:
Had some time to take out the console, checked PCB with multimeter and found burned out track from the navigation switch. Soldered a wire between points where the track was burned out (there was marks of liquid spillage which caused damage) and now NAVI button works as it should.
