For those who actually considered painting their calipers red...

reviving this old contentious thread..
I am in a D4 these days with the 20" sport pkge wheels shown earlier in this thread.
there are no Kleen wheels for that size.
I am actually considering a set of similar red covers from eBay.
these look better than the cheaper Brembo knockoffs and may actually be functional.
purists need not reply lol.

2 years on, they're still just as laughable. Not to mention the fact that they restrict airflow around the caliper so make them run hotter than they should. Ok most of the time but if your pushing it, will cause the caliper and fluid to overheat sooner.

they can be fitted with engraved audi logos and appear to be greatly
superior to the cheap chinese fake 'brembo' ones, which i agree are a no-go.
if these things do offer brake dust reduction, as pointed out here:
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/aud...ields-2864034/ then i will be quite pleased.

jago1,
I am not going to come at you with all the negativity that these other purist are coming at you with. I understand what you are trying to do. Lets address one part at a time. As far as preventing brake dust from accumulating, its ain't gonna happen. the brake dust is gonna find its way to the wheels, it might just take longer by a little bit. As for wanting to improve aesthetics by going red, just remove all 4 of them and send them to a specialist that will do it for about 400.00 bucks and he will do it right. He dissembles them and does it right. I have his name somewhere if you are interested.

ok hate all you want but i'm not quite sure your 'fact' is correct regarding airflow: FAQ

Either way, you want to "enhance" your car by sticking tat onto the calipers, have at it. Most people that would ever notice such a modification will still laugh which is probably not the effect you're looking for.

Well those are certainly irrefutable facts....on the manufacturers website. Bit like those amazing fuel line magnets that "line up" the fuel molecules to give you better gas mileage.

The finish on the product you posted looks like crap. I think the stock calipers even painted if done correctly can look very nice. I unfortunately painted mine red, I really think if it were a gloss black it would look nice without calling too much attention. I painted my W12's black and had white audi logos put on. That turned out very nice.

LOL. Not only are these cheesy fake brembo caliper covers..they are fakes of fakes as these are cheap chinese knock-offs of fake brembo caliper covers!
Maybe 2 wrongs do make a right? Nope. These are laughable and should NEVER be put on an Audi. Save them for your Civic or 98 Grand Prix.

Or your Chrysler 300!

Actually I'm all for personalizing your own ride. If you want stock, go stock. Make sure to pick up some plain chips and vanilla ice cream on the way home also. Just kidding,of course.
