If you don't drive a lot daily and going to have a family

I recommend an eGolf or Nissan Leaf. It may be a problem if you live apartment. You should have one gas car to drive long trip and ev to drive locally for your family.
If not, get a Honda Accord, very nice looking and quite inexpensive - $21k for an LX sport.
If I read correctly, you don't fix your own car, Audi may not be a great choice.
