Just curious who daily drives their D3 S8? I know Darren did.
Who has over 100k miles, over 150k miles?
The one we want to get has 70k miles and I fully expect to put another 100k miles on it in 5 years or so.

Wife will be driving the potential S8 to work, (approx 50-70k miles round trip)
and it will be our long distance road trip car for year round weather conditions.
I expect mileage to not be the best, but do expect 20 mpg cruise set on 70 for long highway trips.
I expect it to be very quiet, comfortable and reliable.
I am aware of most S8 issues-intake flap manifolds, susp bushings, struts.

Just share your best and worst S8 stories, i love reading reviews

I swap on and off with a 911. Mileage: 104,000+. So far, so good. Had the carbon cleaned once, trunk opening motor lames up once in a while. Overall -- fantastic motorcar. A good friend has a new, loaded A6. That, too, is a terrific car, but nowhere near as nice (yes, he agrees).

You should talk to my son. His A8L has something like 365,000 miles on it.

What year is that A8L? Is it a D3?

Bought my S8 about 18 months ago with 125k miles and full service history. Now at 142k, have had to fix a blown PS hose and the sunroof motor just started buzzing -- knocking on wood, that's it. Commute is 20 miles each way thru some heavy traffic, and the S8 has proven to be a fantastic cruiser.

I have car ADD, and I had only planned to own this car for a year before selling it for an E39 M5, but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger. (Doesn't hurt that the wife loves it too...)

Those are minor issues Other than maybe dropping the headliner for the sunroof..i hate dealing with interior trim!
Happy motoring, we are lookgin forward to adding at least 100k miles of relatively trouble free miles to our hopefully soon to be acquired 70k mile 08.

Plan on doing the hidden hitch like MP described and towing a small pop up camper for our cross country trips. We have a crew cab diesel, but the audi would just be so much more comfortable on very long trips!
