Thanks man! Sounds like a nice event! Have you done any mods to engine or exhaust? The wheels look really great. I can imagine that it looks even better in real life. It's one of theese cars that you just need to experience. I bet you will get alot of questions on the track.

+1 on benefits of L size too.
I give a possible car same test--size seat for me in front, then check back. Most fail or would be marginal on a trip. L passes easily, like the stealth limo it is.
Visibility wise, you can pull the rear headrests if it is really bad. On a four seater W12 (only), you can just barely get them out if you recline/move forward the rear seats all the way. You can also swap them for some last generation (C6) A6 headrests--like I ended up doing--if you can find a donor car in the right color.
Track wise, mega power, but also mega barge. It's a big honking motor hanging completely in front of the front axle line. If you want to tighten it up a bit after some experience, you can swap to S8 roll bars. BTDT on mine.

+2 on L
Besides that it doesn't hurt handling at all. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if L handles a bit better. Parking wise, 5" are easily compensated by a touch of skills. Visibility is not problem for me at all. Anyways I am to sore to turn around, so three mirrors and the rearview camera are more than enough. My truck with canopy is much worst. Larger too.

The headrests really never bothered me at all in mine.
To each their own but I think Gzila850's front grille and chicken wire fogs are atrocious. Outside of possibly an exhaust the W12 is perfect in stock form, any more and you're just ruining it!

Only mods to the W12 thus far are cosmetic. Added a rear spoiler to the trunk and roof line/rear window, 3m protection on the front and deep tint. My other cars are totally custom and I have forced myself to leave this one alone. I do plan to explore ecu tune in the future. Car routinely gets a thumbs up or appreciative comment. Love pulling into an local Audi dealer and having the customers and service teams freak out.

To be clear... I was not driving the w12 on the track (nor would I). The drive to the event was over 2 hours in rush hour traffic so the decision was succulent smooth w12 with massage or race ready GTR. Since the day was about experiencing the new Lambo models on a track I opted for comfort.

[QUOTE=Gzila850;24617310]Welcome to the w12 club! I am driving mine to a Lamborghini track event tomorrow to rip around in their v12 for a few hours... somehow I think the drive home will seem slow and lacking in punch?]
I like the wheels, but not a fan of the busy grill - and spoilers do just that: spoil 'er.
But I think the D3 is so good looking stock that other mod's becoming distracting.JMHO and .$02 worth.........
