Default 2011 A8 Acceleration Issue?

I purchased a used 2011 A8L. Love the car. One issue (I hope to fix) or nuance (I will have to get used to) involves the way the car accelerates from a stop. When I accelerate, the car seems to not move as smoothly or gradually as it should from a stop, and then it seems to lurch a bit and gets up to speed. Does this sound like something that may be adjusted or is something I just have to live with?

My 2011 was a little bit "lurchy" from a standstill, but not dramatically so. I learned to feather the accelerator. I'd have it checked anyway, just to make sure.

I am getting better at it. But still lots of lurching.

If lots of lurching, then definitely have it checked.

I have the 2011 sport second owned with 31k miles. From a drivetrain perspective, I believe the only difference is the sport differential. Within 20 minutes from a cold soak (typically overnight - temps below 40F), I experience a harsh shift (you call it "lurch", but perhaps it's just semantics because I could characterize it that way too) from first to second while feathering the accelerator. My first inclination is that the transmission has not yet reached optimal operating temperature, and as a result is amplifying what later could become a systemic issue.

I also factored in air-fuel mixture, and that is what I focused on first. I changed the air-filters to K&N, and ran fuel injector cleaner through two tanks of fuel. That did not make any difference, so I scheduled an appointment with service to see if they could duplicate the concern. Unfortunately they could not, but they did check the transmission fluid level and cleared the adaptations. This too did not resolve the issue...
