2012 a8 hardwire for radar anyone find wires ?

The only switched 12 volt is the line going to the HomeLink as that is dead if the car is off (for security). All the other fuses are hot all the time, the electronics controls the output of each control module after the fuse box.

I had mine wired to a hot fuse and just turned it off when I stopped. I have a valentine one so I bought the adapter they sell which plugs into the diagnostics port. It provides switched power and knows your speed so you can auto mute the radar at your specified speed. Also get BOB.

Just bought a 2011 A8 in the UK and joined the forum.

I've been thinking of getting a valentine one detector, but worried the solar glass will affect the radar detector.

Has this been an issue for you?
