2012 audi a8 CEL flash on start up
So i turned the car on today and noticed the Check engine light flash about 10-15 times and then it turned off. Ive been looking online to see what this would be but cant find any answers. To note from what people are saying maybe its a bad coilpack and a misfire? however i also noticed it could be a bad catalytic converter which can be due to the oil level filled up to high. If thats the case someone at audi service is gonna get a chewing. Last oil change the light for over filled oil came on i called and stated this and was told for some reasons the a8's do this but your fine dont worry about it. Now i know this wasn't documented or anything but if this is the case how should i go about it?
Also to note that after startup the smell of gasoline was very rich.
Not to mention ran it through the car wash as well and saw water coming into the cabin from the rear view mirror and upper console!

That is probably clogged drains from the sun roof, open it and check for leafs etc in each font corner. You can test it by pouring some water and see if it drains.

Yep, misfire.
Do an Auto-Scan with VCDS, post complete unmolested scan, and I'll have a look.
Did you lower the oil level after that incident ??
They don't "just do that"
I suspect a lambda sensor from excess oil being burnt off, and possibly MAF.
Hope the hell it isn't a catalytic converter - they run almost $1,000 each....
Agreed on the sunroof drains, which also should have been cleaned at service (depending on mileage).
Check both sunroofs, and make sure it's draining all the way through and out through the wheel wells.
