I have the vag com and used it for various things. My question is there a way to reset the transmission to learn my driving style versus the last owner? Took it to the dealer last week and they did nothing on the transmission nor the vibration between 1000 and 3000 that I have. I told them I will be back on the issue because the vibration and I wont go away.

Yes, there is. Skip to page 19 of this link, it'll describe the procedure in detail. This was written for an A8, but there is no reason it should be different for the S8.

I had the vibrations, the 1000 one was resolved with motor mount replacement. The 3000 took a little prodding at the dealership. They had to create a ticket and get Audi of NA involved to cover the cost of replacing the downpipes. But they took care of it. Actually replaced the left motor mount at that appointment too...I wondered if I've been too hard on it?

Yeah, it varies dealer to dealer at how much prodding is required to get them to do work like that. Best you can do is push until they cover it.

thanks I had the head of the service department at my local dealer ride with me and that was key, if he cant get it done I will fight with audi, but this is my 3rd audi since 2004 and only car that I never have done a oil change on, everything is 100% local dealer service probably spend 25-30% of purchase price on service with the dealer.
