Does anyone know what changes if any may be planned for the 2016 A8? For example, would the MMI upgrades coming down the road for the A6 be applied to the A8 (if not already)? I guess the question is, would you order a '15 or wait for a '16? Still trying to decide between the A8 3.0 and S6. Hope to drive both back to back soon.

Anything would be pure speculation right now. Nothing has been announced yet...probably by April there should be some 2016 A8 info beginning to flow. I'd expect 2016 to be the last D4 production model year (with production running through late 2016)---until the D5 production switchover for Euro-spec builds starting in early 2017 and North American D5 production starting by mid-Summer 2017.

i just purchased my 2015 A8 last week. my understanding after having spoken to the dealer's general manager, is that there are no planned changes for 2016. A6 will get the face lift in 2016 to bring it back in alignment with A8 styling themes that were new for 2015. D5 will be 2017.

From all indications, a 2016 A8 will be much like the 2014 in that there will only be minor tweaks with the major revamp on the 2017. The only differences in the 2013 and 2014 was in a couple of the packages and pricing. The 2015 of course had several changes to styling, hp increase, lighting and packages as well as trunk space. No real reason to change anything for 2016.
