4.0T VRTuned - Piggyback Tune
Looking to get back into my A8 4.0T soon. Currently driving a Cayenne Turbo and had very good experience with VRTuned flash on my Porsche. I know how Audi is with flash tunes and therefore will not be getting one. However, a piggyback tune maybe the answer for those of us looking for additional HP and ability to pull it when going in for service.
I'm going to try this piggyback as soon as I get back into the Audi, but wanted to pass this information along in the meantime and see if anyone else tried a piggyback on the 4.0T.
VRTuned has been good to my Porsche with good support, so I am expecting nothing less from this product:

In the past, in the U.S. market AOA has instructed their dealers that any engine software modifications made by owners VOIDS the warranty. Furthermore, dealers that agree to service any known "tuned" vehicle places their franchise agreement in jeopardy. Supposedly, any Audi with a tune/chip or other engine/transmission software modification that goes into a dealer's service department and gets connected to the Audi service computer system can be flagged, which leaves the dealer no latitude but to deny service. At least this is what has been mentioned on the various AW forums.

MTM is a piggyback as well: MTM > Products > Produkt Information > MTM M-Cantronic, F-Cantronic, V-Cantronic, S-Cantronic
Seems like the best of both worlds, around 100 extra HP and keep the warranty. I'm doing the VRTune as soon as I have my A8L 4.0T back 100% of the time so there are no mistakes how it will go in for service.

I'm excited to hear the results... I had a piggy back tuner on my 2014 BMW 535d and it made a HUGE difference across the board.
I just contacted VR and they are telling me the Tuner Box is $1,500 for my 2015. I thought they were $1,000??
