Default 4.2 Tune?

Does anyone know who offers a tune for the D4 A8 with the 4.2 FSI? I'm not really looking to bump up the power so much as remove the limiter, and I'm having some trouble finding a company that offers any tune. The only one I have found is from ABT in Germany for 1990 Euros, and I can't justify spending that much on it.

Anybody? ABT can't be the only one offering it?

If it is about speed limiter check D3 forum and Mister Bally's posts.

I'd be surprised if there's any performance mods available for our 4.2's given the "easier to mod" forced induction D4 motors.

I know there's not much power to be found in a tune in the D4 with the 4.2, but eliminating the limiter would be nice. I'm planning a trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats, where the A8 will likely be the second vehicle. As long as I'm there, I'd really like to see where the limit for it actually is and how it behaves. I already know that the 130mph limit on it is wildly conservative.

well, isn't it the same displacement or engine as the n/a V8 powered RS4 and R8? therefore, shouldn't the same top speed limit apply? granted I know those 4.2's make more HP, but I'd think a D4 could see similar top speed. Or maybe I'm waaaay off.....

There are other factors. Gearing, weight, and aerodynamics come into play as well. I believe I'd read that the D4 A8 with the 4.2 will achieve just north of 180mph without a limiter. I'd like to confirm that.

I've been to Bonneville during the third week of August. Hot and bright (I wore regular sunglasses with plastic ones from eye doc office behind the regular lenses and it was still bright), but a sight that shouldn't be passed up by anyone who is a car nut.

How could I not? Trick is, I need to find someone who can disable the limiter. Otherwise only the Challenger will go down the course, which should do just a smidge over 200mph.
