Talking APR tune on my 2015 S8

I had done a stage 1 and Stage 2 Tune on my 2012 A6 and was shocked at the results. Low 12's and saw 170+ on a lonely stretch of highway. Just took the S8 out for a seat of the pants test. Wow is all I can say, the car squats and just goes ballistic. I have it running the 93 octane but had the shop load the stock and 100 octane so I cant switch to different modes. Also can put car in valet mode and totally lock the igniton out. Also can reset check engine lights not that I would but. If you are looking for a reliable tune APR is where it's at they know their Audi's

My A8 4.0T on APR 93 map is straight bonkers in the first 2 gears. If left in Sport mode the car just lives in triple digits no matter how little gas you give it. I can only imagine what happens in S8.

Is APR the best tuner for the D4? I wonder how many more ponies they could squeeze out of my car. It'll have to wait until my warranty is up though.

I believe they are but others will chime in on thier experiences with the tuners they used also. Both of my cars have better driveablility if that is a word. APR just seems to iron out the hard downships and jerkiness all A8's and S8's come with.

This is my first experience with an APR tune and I'm pleased with results. Time will tell on reliability, although I am not worried. Ive had several cars with a GIAC tune (APR's competition) 2000 S4, 2003 A4, 2003 RS6, and 2014 S4. I have had zero issues with them, both S4's were tracked and I put over 100,000 miles on the RS6 with a tune. The RS6 by the way was the most reliable vehicle that I have ever owned! The reason that I went with APR this time was close proximity to the tuner shop.(and no need to carry a flashloader around).

Both of these companies have been out for quite some time and have been successful. The pricing seems to be similar between the two also. If you keep an eye out, sometimes they have sales going on and you can save around 10% on the tune.

Again, as some of you state concern with warranty, I usually tune my cars within the first year of ownership. (I usually only keep a vehicle between 2-4 years, with exceptions) With current tuning technology and having never had an issue, I feel confident in the upgrade. I am however concerned with warranty issues other than engine or drivetrain, which coverage should not be an issue. (lol ,should not) .

Ok, so Ive probably screwed myself by this post and need to find some wood to knock on.

APR Audi S8 4.0 TFSI V8 ECU Upgrade

Price depends on if you do stage 1 or stage 2.
