Audi care
What is the word on Audi care for 2016 model years? Previous years have had it included. How much is it? Is it true that it adds 1% of the residual value? If only leasing for three years and have first change at 12 months for free probably not worth it. Thoughts?

2015's didn't as I found buying mine CPO. Many 2014's had it included as an incentive or otherwise. Dealer did offer to include it when I was looking at an S8 in early 2016 and it seemed to be moving slowly; pre-Plus announcement.
The biggest value to it is when the major service comes up, but then in turn only on a 4.0T. That is at 35K with either 4.0T or S8 variant. If a 3.0T, major service is out past regular AudiCare at 55K. Thus, even 35K may not be in your lease window. There is also the every two years brake fluid change folded in with AudiCare. Aside from that, it is glorified oil changes and a couple of HVAC filters...skipping the supposed checklist stuff...they in turn supposedly do.
I ended up getting it, but in turn was influenced that: 1. I plan to hold through the 35K service and 45K services; as a CPO my warranty goes out beyond AudiCare and I own rather than lease; 2. Car is a 2015 but very few miles so I may stretch the intervals out close to the limit at 5+ years; 3. It's a 4.0T so has the 35K major service and related value/cost. 4. It's also an S8 so has the second engine airbox--both the filter and the labor to deal with it for the plugs change. Pricing isn't as compelling as it used to be, but those were my reasons. I also got it on the Q5 Hybrid, but there because it is the only Audi with the 8 speed tranny that requires an AT fluid change at the major (35K) interval, and price was the same as for other gas Q5's.

Actually 2015 MY did include Audi Care for some of us. Ordered my car in July 2014 and delivered in late November. Audi Care included in my lease---shown as a reimbursement on my lease quote.

Also, unless you have owned it since new, have you checked w/ your selling or servicing dealer to be sure prior owner didn't already buy it? They can look up the VIN. It transfers w/ vehicle.

When I got my '13 CPO S8 it had already had the 45K mile service done and AudiCare Select was an option for the 55 and 65K services. However when I spoke with my service advisor and actually priced out the next two service interval costs it didn't make financial sense to prepay with AudiCare.
AudiCare packages have changed and it's no longer just AudiCare for 15, 25, 30, 45K mi and AudiCare Plus for 55, 65, and 75k mi.
The "Plus" packages have now been broken up into several different "Select" packs that only cover two intervals each (35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85) and cost $1099 (for A8/S8) per pack regardless of which Select pack you choose.
Just be aware that the actual cost of some of those intervals on a particular model may actually be less than $1099.
Lucikly I didn't spring for anything on my '13 CPO because it ended up being a clunker and Audi bought it back last weekend in exchange for a '14 CPO S8. My '14 S8 already had the AudiCare on it.
