So it's true. No NWB version for 2016 other than the S8. But, a kind of poor-man's (ha!) S8 in the LWB with the sport, which is something I've always wanted.

Good to see that they will offer the rear sport differential and dynamic steering as a stand alone package (Dynamic Pkg). 4.0 Sport will no doubt be a fairly pricey design option package, but would make for a more distinctive appearance.

I think you are concluding the SWB is gone because it is not in the pricing table at the bottom of the press release. But up in the body if you read it closely it says the Vermont Brown package will be available with the A8 Sport, and there also is no entry in the table for an A8 Sport. Admittedly it could be just an option package. BUT, the A8 Sport that was just announced in the UK is SWB only, and the Vermont Brown package in the U.S. has so far been exclusive to the S8. Thus alternate theory could be there is a SWB and it is the A8 Sport with the 4.0T lower state of tune motor but S8 type dress.

A newer order guide post the Audi USA press release is needed to get it straightened out.
