Buy Platinum warranty coverage on a CPO?
I haven't owned an Audi since a bad ownership experience with an A6 4.2 in 2007, but I'm picking up a CPO 2013 S8 (5k miles, Daytona Grey) on Thursday. It has an additional 2yrs/50K Gold level coverage but I'm being offered Platinum level plus an additional year for about $3K? Any thoughts on whether the upgrade to Platinum is worth it. If I don't get the Platinum I won't have warranty coverage on some important electrical components (Nav, lights, etc.) after the initial 5yr/50K mile period.

How long do you plan to keep the vehicle ?
It doesn't take long to rack up $3k on these vehicles, but with some knowledge and the proper tools you can avoid costly "throw parts at it until it works visits" like I see with older models.

Do it . . . I have it and I could not imagine having to pay out-of-pocket for the repairs. The car is still under Audi's coverage and I would have had to spend over 10K for the repairs to date.
I have a homeowner's warranty on the house that costs $700/year and I have used double that amount every year.
