Contour seats
I am planning to order a new A7, which is now available with optional contour seats. I assume these are the same seats that are in the A8 premium package. Anyone want to share their thoughts on the pro's and con's of these seats vs. the basic comfort seat?

Not familiar with "contour" seats on an A8. Had/have the 22-way adjustable/massage Premium Package "comfort" seats on both my D4 A8L's. I'm 5'9 about 175lbs and not broad in the beam---comfort seats on my 2011 weren't all that comfortable for me: a bit too hard on the pressure points on my butt. The Premium package comfort seats on my 2015 have the Luxury Package diamond stitched pattern and are much more comfortable this time around---feels a bit more cushioned in the seat. Doesn't really address your question about the "contour" seats though.
Edit: differences between A8 standard Comfort Seat and Premium Package Comfort Sports Seat...
Standard Comfort Seat is 18-way adjustable in Valetta leather.
Comfort Sports Seat is 22-way adjustable (adds in/out adjustment for side and seat cushion bolsters); also adds Valcona leather. Luxury Package adds diamond optic stitching.

Yes, we are talking about the upgraded seats from the A8 that are included in the premium package. This is available as an upgrade in the 2016 A7 and is called the "Individual contour seat package". Using the term contour seats to differentiate from the "comfort seats" that come with the prestige package.
Sat in both yesterday at the dealer and the contour seats were slightly more comfortable, with softer leather. This package also includes upgraded rear seats, which are significantly more comfortable than the standard seat. I opted for the upgrade.

Have never even seen one at a dealership and suspect they would be on a very stripped down D4.
Unlike derf I am broad in the 'beam' and they are quite comfortable.
Good choice on the upgrade.
