Coolant leave low!!! 2013 s8
Hello guys,
i was wondering if anyone could give me some possible reasons for this. Bought the car and coolant was low, and I took it to the dealer and the performed full coolant flush and pressure tested it everything was good. car sat in my garage for couple of days and when I tried to started there was the light again which right after driving for less than a minute went off. I checked the level and it was less than minimum which makes me believe something consumes the coolant. No traces of leaks. Any ideas?

Hi, keep an eye on it and see if it continues to drop. If the level continues to move, further investigation is needed.
Our cars seem to hover just below the MIN mark. I don't worry about it.

Should consume zero. If system in order, I can go years and not touch. Mark exact level cold with a grease pencil, Sharpie or piece of tape. Then keep track of.
On my D3 W12, over the years I found a loose clamp early at the heater valve which dealer had missed the they were looking before I bought it CPO. Just before end of 4/50 warranty I found tiny seepage at radiator that got me a new one--just damp underneath not even an actual drip. But dealer had found nothing when first owner had noted same kind of observation you noted. Since the first owner was the dealership general manager and owner, I expect they were very motivated too! Thus I think they probably accept minor leak down on test as okay, but in my experience it should really be zero.
