Could you share exactly which plan you bought and what was the grounds they denied your claim ?

I had the platinum coverage, and they wouldn't cover the front suspension other than the strut after 50k miles(at all, really, since factory warranty covers it up to that point.) All of those components are wear items, even at the 54k miles I requested the repair at. Also denied was reprogramming the blind spot detection module for it's fairly constant inexplicable false positives. There was something else, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

I am probably going to go with a service agreement with IWS. They strictly deal with Credit Unions. From their Platinum exclusionary contract, under what is covered:

Mechanical Breakdown ("Breakdown") is defined as a Failure. Failure refers to the Failure of a covered part under normal service. A Failure is
deemed to have occurred when a covered part can no longer perform the function for which it was designed solely due to the condition of the part,
and not due to the action or inaction of any non-covered parts. In addition, a Failure will be deemed to have occurred when a covered part has worn
beyond the manufacturer's tolerances and includes gradual reduction in operating performance due to wear and tear

NOTE: This is for a new vehicle or select used only....under 10,000 mi.

I'm confused. Why are you considering this purchase on a car with less than $10K miles?

Hi John,
I do not put that many miles on my cars. The price of the plan is relatively inexpensive for a vehicle with less than 10,000 miles, compared to one with more miles and the plan will not begin until the time it is purchased. In my case, the 7 year, 80,000 mile coverage would begin at the 10,000 mile mark, let's say a year from now for explanation purposes. That would then equate to the vehicle being covered for 8 years total. If I waited, let's say for two years and 10,000 miles, then the coverage would be for a total of 9 years, or 80,000 miles....Audi warranty remaining plus 7 year extended.
