Default Interior Trim Question A8 L

Anyone seen this? Where the trim doesn't match on the left and right side of the clock?

Those pics above are both of my car. Here's what I'm comparing it to (at least it seems that they're all this way).

Both sides of the buttons are the same color, not mixed like those I showed of my car.

Reached out to the dealer, will let you know what ends up happening.

Looks like someone needed to replace those buttons at some point, and likely used a lesser shop to do it. Either the wrong part was ordered or someone used salvage parts and didn't much care if they were the wrong color. If the dealer wasn't responsible, it's not likely to be covered under any warranty, qualifying as a modification, but they might do it to keep you happy.

ah, I see! sorry, for some reason thought you were talking about the trim itself, the black piece around the clock, my bad. and yes, that's really odd...

Yeah that's very weird.

That looks like a Friday 4:30 factory installation error from the IP supplier or bootleg replacement where someone was too cheap to buy the correct buttons.

My A8 isn't like this.

It also looks like the vertical metal trim piece on the left side of the clock is thinner than the one on the right side. Someone has definitely swapped out some parts that don't match now.

Talked to the dealer - he checked the window sticker info and determined it was a mis-build. Now they working with Audi HQ to figure out who will pay to get it fixed, but it'll be fixed.
