More and more lately, it seems the car doesn't want to lock or unlock when I am near it with the key. The same applies to the trunk. I know it seems a bit silly to worry too much about it, but I've gotten used to and like being able to just leave the key in my pocket.

I thought that, but new battery didn't seem to help.

Recently purchased battery or "new" battery. I've become very suspicious of how long batteries may have set in the distribution system before my purchase. My advice would be to find the specs on the battery and test with a good VOM to see if it is really fully charged.
