But if you're at a stop light, say, do you really want to spend another 5 seconds while people are annoyed with you for not going? Guess it's more for the track or where no one is behind you. Definitely giving this a shot, but I have a V6 so not sure if it'll even work

Well, I tried it on my 2011 and it was certainly interesting. I put it in dynamic mode, hit the button for traction control, held the brake for more than a second, pushed in the throttle all the way, and released the brake when the RPM stabilized (about 2700 rpm, I think.) Good lord, I thought it took off well before, but with that it's one heck of a launch. I've never driven anything that bites that hard off the line.
Interestingly enough, I had the transmission showing it was in sport mode from when I switched to dynamic, but when I took off, the car seemed to put itself in manual mode. Does it do that for you other guys when you've tried it?
Also, when the RPM seemed to stabilize, I let off the brake immediately. It probably got to that RPM in a tenth or two and it sat there for another couple tenths before the launch. All told from the time I hit the gas and the time I took off was a half second or less. Anyone else who wants to try this, I wouldn't recommend holding the brake and gas together any longer than you need to, it's a good way to cook a transmission. Also, don't do launches back to back, for the same reason, even though after doing it once, it's very tempting.
