Mark a location?
Old car allowed me to "mark" a location I was in by clicking on "mark". It was handy in getting back to a spot when I did not have an address. Does my 2011 A8 provide for this?

Don't know about your '11, but I haven't figured out how to reliably do it in my '15. The closest thing I can come up with is putting in a nearby address and them manually adjusting the destination using the touchpad, selecting that destination, and then saving it to a favorite. I much prefer my Lexus, which has a k__p navigation system, but has a button to press to save a location.

If the D4 nav is like a C7, you can press the selector **** and use the zoom and touch pad to scroll to any spot on the map. Then, press the selector **** to navigate there or save as a favorite and enter a name for it.

Start at the normal map screen. To save your current location;
-Depress the top left button (Route.)
-Use the mmi **** to select your current location, the top option.
-You can then scroll down and choose to save it to your directory under an existing name entry or make a new one.

Ah, typing at the same time. Yes, this does work in the D4's, and is an alternative way to save any location, with the advantage of not actually having to be there to save it.
