Which Phone Contacts Appear in Display?
I have a new to me, Audi A8, 2011. I was able to connect my phone with some help. Unfortunately, I have about 2000 contacts. In my info display appears the first contacts listed in my phone. With 2000 contacts, what appears in my display are numbers I never use, but cannot quite delete. Is there anyway of having only my "favorites" appear only? Or of having a group appear? Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Basically no. Unfortunately.
You might be able to add contacts directly to the MMI phonebook and tell it not to look at the phone's but I'm not sure if that's possible.
As you scroll through the list in DIS it will accelerate to only letters, but it's still a ton of contacts.
I'd make sure SDS (Speech Dialog System) has been trained and get used to dialing by voice.

Actually, there is if you use Outlook. Create a category in Outlook called Car or Audi and then put the contacts you want on your car in that category. Then there is a way (although I can't recall what it is right now) to only sync certain categories with the car. I've been meaning to do this, and this question might make me figure it out. I discovered this by accident when all my contacts weren't syncing and I traced it down to categories.

I think I figured it out. If you have contacts in categories, the car will only sync those contacts that are assigned a category. So, just assign the ones you want to sync to a category and leave the ones you don't out and it should work. Note this is Outlook on Windows and an Android 4.4 phone.
