I had a loaner Q7 the other day and it had the "rings" puddle light projectors. If you haven't seen them, they project the Audi logo or the word "quattro" on the ground when the door is opened.





I've seen the 17 order guide and they will be an option on the A8. They are available to buy now and they fit the '16 as an easy swap.

I really like them and plan on putting the rings in the front. My question is, do they fit the rear doors too? I think having the rings in the front and quattro in the rear might be kind of cool.

I know that some folks don't like them, so no need to post and tell me you hate them, but if you know the answer to my question, I'd appreciate a post.

They fit front and rear. Chinese alternatives are available cheap but they fade and get blurry over time.

Both doors. Straight out of box. No touch up basic iPhone pic during day with some clouds in sky in first shot. In garage during day in second shot. By night very bright and crisp. Every occupant in car catches them, even "the wife." These are the Audi ones, not the knockoffs and eBay/Amazon type stuff.

MP4.2+6.0, can you supply the Audi part numbers for both the "rings" and "Quattro" lights? Will they fit a 2013 S8 and are they an easy DIY project? I really like the look.

Really like the look of these and was just on ebay to pick up the "quattro" for the back and 4 rings for the front. Bought the "quattro" ones from a dealer in FL via paypal- confirmation all set and then within 5 minutes was issued a refund and email apologizing and stating that the part had been recalled by Audi and was unavailable for sale. Anyone know if this is just BS because they did not really have the part in stock or ??

UPDATE: Was just told by dealer parts dept that the lights have been recalled because they were finding that some were not going off, even when the doors were closed and batteries were being killed.

Still sounds like BS. Those lights are controlled by the same switches as the dome lights.

Apparently Audi USA Parts have them in stock ( the parts that duke mentioned) they are $157 each !

Was told by my dealer today that they are out of stock nationwide. They have them on order but no ETA. I found them online (not Ebay), but haven't ordered yet. I guess I will and see if I get them.
