Radar Detector preference and location
What is everyone's preference in Radar Detector / Laser jammer.
And if any of you are from Colorado whom do you recommend to do the installation.
I've always been partial to the V1 but its been many years since I really looked into it. I see lots of guys spend lots of money for a custom installed unit front and back but I'm not sure they offer any more protection then a V1 which I can take with me when I get a new vehicle.
Is anyone using a laser "device" (which must be custom installed) and what has your experience been? Do they really work ?
Thanks

Saw on the internet where the Valentine one may false from the adaptive cruise control and the lane warning. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do ? Don't really want to spend the extra money for a 9500ci if I don't have to.

Ok, I found the answers. Search here for the terms 'radar laser' only and you'll notice a current thread on the subject with very good information. Enjoy.
I'd post the link, but I'm on the road.

in multiple cars i have hardwired V1's via simple fuse tap into switched circuit
and keep the main unit on visor with provided clipon thingy.
the stealth display location varies by car.
now i understand theres a "V1 connect" smartphone app you can plug into obd2 port.
frankly i use the detectors less as they false so often, and i have taken a liking to waze,
esp in busy NY suburbs, where theres lots of alerts posted by members.
prob just as accurate as V1. i also enjoy the elvis voice guidance lol. 'police ahead baby'
