S8 Plus does 3,4 s 0-100 km/h (not 60mph). GREAT time!

Go toward the higher end of the range for Audis w/ "real" quattro. Quattro is many good things, but given full time nature, drivetrain drag and losses aren't among them. But ultimate stickiness cures a lot of these sins for (not) laying down rubber. On any motor, as soon as you make that first 90 degree turn you lose a bunch frictionally--like at most any diff. (other than maybe some transverse) let alone two of them, let alone the helper shaft set up Audi uses to feed forward since they brought quattro to automatics.
Note: Real = longintudinal quattro, not pretend Haldex from transverse set ups, not new Quattro ultra for lower power longitudinal like newest A4/5 and just announced Q5--Haldex repackaged with more branding $. More broadly, not with (typically reactive) clutch packs. Good for drag, not so much for why quattro is strong.
