Buyer beware... Welcome once again to Made in China... New part, same story.
1. First, the listing is flat wrong. I know from checking my 2013 Q5 in deciding what to do with the factory LED's I pulled out of the 2015 S8. No way they fit in a Q5 that had the factory incandescent style. As did my 2006 D3 W12. So which is the listing for? It ain't for all of these rides. That I know for sure yet the listing is basically one make believe fit for all. Having pulled the Q5 one out, the plug is different. You could mod it, but that would tweak the door harness side, which I would not do, more so given next point about longevity. Only other possible is they come with adapters for the various plugs involved. The genuine Audi ones have at least two different part #s (plus "oooo" or "quattro" variants) depending on fitment.
2. More generally, there has been a post on these on the Q5 board that has run for a while now. The net of it seems to be the Made in China copies (and other images like the S8 logo, Q5, etc) have an issue where the plastic the light projects through fades. Consensus seemed to be it was noticeable after about 4 months on driver's door. Less use of door = less fade. A few posters got into an unproductive argument about it, but the takeaway I got was it is probably some kind of dye filter that is not color stable. The sense was also that the factory ones had a decent heat sink while maybe not so much on the take offs. Whether heat or light, something makes the copies fade w/ time.
#2 is something you could let slide, given ¼ the price and some with some supposed replacement warranties, though sounds like they won't last long term. Could get several sets though for similar total cost. But #1 makes it a non-starter until you find the right plug, or rather listing gets its act together. They are also on Amazon BTW but likely similar issues.
