Sound System Problems Memory Issues
I have a 2011 with the B&O system. I have had an ongoing problem with the radio and CD retaining the memory of the last station played.
For example, I start out listening to station A and switch to station B. When I shut off the car and later restart, station A will be playing but the display indicates station B.
The aggravating thing is that this is an intermittent problem. I had it to the dealer for other issues and always listed the radio problem, which they were unable to duplicate. They replaced the MMI control **** for another problem and assumed this would fix it. It did not.
So, along comes the quality survey from Audi. I called my service adviser and mentioned this ongoing problem. Still gave her '10s', but I had an appointment the next day. They still could not reproduce the problem, but did a 'hard reset' of the MMI.
So far so good.
Anyone else have this issue? Sorry about the long post. You can imagine trying to explain this to the service adviser and tech.

Same Problem In Addition . . NO Bluetooth
My MMI software is update according to my service consultant.
In addition, I can not link my phone with the bluetooth connection. At first I thought this was a great excuse to buy a new phone; however, I can not link my wife's phone either.
So, I strongly suggested to my SC to contact Audi as they seem to be at a loss as to the source of the problem. I expect I shall hear from her shortly.
Will keep you posted.

My SA said it was up to date as well... not even close but wasn't in the mood to fight it, and mine works.
Look at this thread, since there is at least a version 7.15 maybe newer by now. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...-15-a-2864895/
The BT connection alone is usually enough to trigger an update.
Have you tried rebooting the MMI ? [instructions in manual]

Booting MMI
The dealer booted the MMI to try and solve the radio memory problem. I will try again. I suppose the issue on my part could be a case of RTFM.
Thanks

Try something...
Try some experiments and let us know what you figured out. I'll do the same.

additional thoughts
Also try clearing all recent calls in the phone.
Holdover 'fix' from D3 that surprisingly helps...
Have you removed all paired devices in MMI under Telephone -> Settings ?
There's a very short window of time after starting the vehicle when you can pair.

I accidentally replied to another thread, so I apologize for the duplicate.
My A8L just went in for Bluetooth problems and they claim there is no MMI update available for my car and that I am running the most current version.
The MMI version info screen shows:
HN+R_US_AU_P0121
Nav 5.4.7.
Sounds fishy to me.

Only happens with preset stations.
I just noticed that this problem only occurs with preset stations. I'm not sure if this is significant, but I thought it worth mentioning.
Fixed the Bluetooth problem by pairing the phone though the Menu function and not the phone function on the car.
