I'm glad it wasn't my car! I am suprised at how much damage the driver sustained though. I would think he would walk away with no injuries.

No seatbelt, maybe. I have a hard time feeling bad for him, though. The lots that have those bollards usually make them pretty hard to miss. To do the kind of damage his car sustained is a hard hit, much faster than your usual parking lot speeds. I'd bet he was hurrying because he thought he could beat the bollards.

No seatbelt definitely looking at the spidered glass on the windshield. Also trying to piggyback out of a secured parking lot after a delivery truck--that's what you get.

Odd, if that is an Off Limits Location he was driving to, then why not have the posts up all the time and LOWER them for those who are On Limits????
At least it was not an S8.....LOL...that would be a sin.....

They do have those posts up all the time, they were resetting to default position from the person immediately in front of him after they had stopped, been let through by the guard, and passed. It looks like the A8 was hurrying and didn't want to wait to do the same, trying to piggy back off of the person in front of him.

As a resident of Louisiana I do find it amusing that the Capitol's new 5 million dollar security system destroyed a Representative's car on the first day of the session after they have gutted LSU Health and defunded all higher education in the state. It just pains me that it was an A8, why couldn't it be a Mercedes or BMW, or better yet a Tesla that would have immediately burst into flames!
