Switched Live for Dash Cam
Hi, Anyone managed to find a switched live connection in the overhead console? You'd think there must be one there, as the sunroof will only work with the ignition on... but for all the prodding around I've done with my multi-meter, I can't find one!
My old D3 was easy, as there was the connector for Homelink... but that's not on my D4.

Search for posts for radar detector installs. Same wiring issue. I did mine though off of the OBDII port with a V1 Savvy connector so I did not need to go poking for a power connection point.

Thanks. Dash camera (Blackvue 650GW) all fitted and working, along with the Blackvue Power Magic Pro. As you said, the OBDII port has ground (brown), switched (red/blue) and permanent (red/black) present. Just tapped into the wires with 3M Scotch Lock connectors.

My blackvue 650 with power magic pro is tapped into an empty fuse spot on the fuse box at the passenger side of the dash. This is the best way to go.
