Haven't had my S8 long enough to need tires yet, but I buy tires at Tire Rack (warehouse in town) and take them to the Lexus dealer for installation on my LX. Not a problem. The service writer and I have talked about how much cheaper I can get them at Tire Rack.

I've done the same thing, just make sure they road force balance them and it's fine, and much cheaper.

I went ahead and purchased from local Goodyear retailer. My car is currently there and I plan on bringing it to Audi service for road force balance. Any other recommendations? It's going to be a week before I can get into the Audi dealership.

So you are saying the 275 GoodYear is the same diameter/height as the 265 Continental, but the GoodYear is wider?

I don't want to speak for Knapp, but basically yes. I'm getting 275s installed today. I'll give feedback

I have 275/40/20 P zeros ,(with 20mm spacers at the rear and 12.5mm at the front), the diameter appears as near as I can tell to the 265's but they are noticeably wider

That is correct. Tire rack shows the Goodyear being like .3" taller in dia, but that is not what I see with them both mounted and aired up on wheels. the GoodYear is wider for sure.

Everything has been good with new tires. However this morning I have warning messages for adaptive cruise and side assist unavailable. Any chance this is due to tires? I've been driving on them for a week by now. Thx

That's great, I was looking for a wider tire without the drawbacks of the taller one. Probably for next summer though, my OEMs are still young.

Edit: Oops, I now realized you were talking about all-season tires. Summer models can be completely different animal. Oh well.

If the alignment is off, maybe.
