As far as traffic I have that in iPhone. INTRIX. I just bought a 2011 a8l from private owner. Called sirus and had ac2 month trial activated with VIN #. If you wait to cancel just before the 2 months, you'll get 6 months for like $15. Then repeat as necessary.

Reminds me of when my son lived in Cody, WY and his mother was concerned about him getting caught in rush hour traffic to which he replied, "Mom, in Cody, I AM the rush hour traffic"!!

Just looked at population stats and Cody, WY(9,833) has Libby, MT(2,691) beat by a large margin. The only time we have traffic issues is when they do road work.

SiriusXM Infotainment - SiriusXM Radio

Depending on MY, Sirius Traffic is not applicable as Google Earth takes over. Go to above website to see if it's applicable, then I assume the 4 years is there depending on MY.

On a 2015 w/ Audi Connect (different...), I have Google Earth, but still distinct from Traffic. Same on my 2013 Q5 that also has both. To avoid the web echoes, here are the pages directly from the 2015 A8/S8 MMI manual about what Traffic does. And yes, with various phone apps you can get much the same thing, squint to look at it, and not legally in many states. That class of apps are sort of notorious for feeding tracking and other data too, and from my own experience with some like Intrix half the time tell me something that was like 5 minutes or 4 blocks ago. A sometimes nice to have, but not critical. Can be part of looking ahead on a route where there are choices and info beyond just a current accident or tie up may influence choice--as it does w/ Nav routing.
