<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/111604/mirrormod.jpg"></center><p>Hello, I'm a new guy. I've found a few helpful answers here in recent weeks but now I'm stumped! The mirrors don't work on my '96, A6 Avant. There is power to the switch and the ground is good. Took the switch apart and it looks fine except for the burnt out bulbs. My VERY expensive Bentley manuals haven't been much help. They show 8 wires to the switch when there are only 7. But what really gets me is that the location, shown by the manual, of the "mirror memory control module" is wrong! It's supposed to be under the back seat but it's not. The photo shows the approximate location according to Bentley. All wires from switch to mirrors pass through the module except ground. Logic suggests the module is at fault. The seat memory works fine and so do the mirror heaters. I've found some similar inquiries here, in the forums, but they went unanswered. I tried Vagcom but either that function doesn't come with the free version or I did something wrong. I could use the automatic reverse mirror function as I really have to stretch my neck to back up safely. Presuming I find the module, some day, is there any way to have it bench tested?

Thought I would resurect this post because I want to fix my mirrors, I was wondering if anyone knows about this problem more.This is the same as mine so what would you guys say to do.
