This is a 5 speed manual. It has the R134 conversion. The particular compressor was only installed on this model for 7 months. Car was actually built in July 1991. Where can I find either a used or replacement compressor.?

Try RockAuto..you may need the compressor make and model number. They have a bunch of compressors for 91/92 Audi 100. They have images on the site.

Manufacturer was Klein. Can't get the part number.

Look and see if the A/C hoses hook up like the Denso compressor picture above. If so the Denso is available at Amazon for $217 and free shipping. Klein A/C compressors are a rare bird.

If the A/C hoses hook ups are a match..you will want to remove the A/C compressor bracket (easy enough when the compressor if off the engine) and test fit the new compressor..you may need to grind a tab off the bracket to fit the Denso.

If you have the serp belt and the a/c hoses connect in the back like this a/c compressor..then amazon has it too. $224

Took your photos to my A/C guy. He said the TCW is close- the speed sensor matches but the hook-ups don't. Nevertheless there is a TCW in town and his new plan is to replace the hoses.
