Default ...and another thing: How to install lower door trim

How do these rubber things install?

I have tried attaching the clips to the door, then sliding/prying the trim onto the clips. I have tried inserting the clips in the molding first, then attaching the assembly to the door.

Both ways are making me think of words that I ought not say.

Regards...

Mike

Hm, are the lower trim different from the one in the middle of the door? If not ,i've just pressed them on and they've clicked into place.

Yes, they are different. The upper moldings are quite rigid. They slide forward on the door into slots and are held in place by small screws on one or both ends, depending on if it's for the front or rear door.

The lower moldings are soft and floppy, quite rubbery and attach with a different type of clip.
